History
Eddy Gordo, legendary Capoeira prodigy. Eddy's master was about to be freed from prison after a long incarceration. Eddy went to the prison to meet his master but instead found a frail old man that was only a shadow of the strong Capoeira master he once knew.
Upon taking his master to a hospital, Eddy was told his master had an incurable illness and had less than six months to live. However, it may be possible to discover a cure if they had access to the technology and resources of the Mishima Zaibatsu.
Several days later, Eddy decides to enter the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 with Christie.
(In Eddy's story mode for Tekken 5, he finally manages to confront Kazuya Mishima regarding the murder of his parents. Once Eddy acquires the finance for his master's medical costs, the master appears alive and well in his ending, as well as in Christie Monteiro's ending.)
Endings
Christie and Eddy wait and pray while Christie's grandfather undergoes his operation. Finally, the "Operating" light goes off and both of them stand as the doors open. The scene changes, and Eddy and Christie are outside in the sunlight practicing their Capoeira moves against each other. Suddenly, Christie's grandfather steps in, stopping one of Christie's kicks. It is clear that his operation has gone well, and Eddy steps aside as Christie and her grandfather begin to practice their Capoeira moves against each other.

Trivia
Eddy's movements were digitized from video of Mestre Marcelo ( Capoeira Mandinga).[citation needed] Eddy Gordo's nickname, FaĆsca, means "spark" in Portuguese. "Gordo" generally means "fat" in Portuguese and Spanish, but can also mean "large" or "important" (for example, one term for winning a major lottery prize in Spanish is pegarle a el gordo - figuratively translating to "win the big one"). In Tekken 5.0 & Tekken 5.1, Eddy does not have his own character space; he is actually an extra costume that must be purchased for Christie and can not be customized. Comedian Dane Cook mentions Eddy Gordo in "Struck By A Vehicle" off of his Retaliation album. Eddy's test name (Tekken 3 dev.) was Rally Jackson.[citation needed] In episode 2 of the MTV series Downtown, the character Fruity is heard saying "I'mma do you in Eddy Gordo style, baby."
