NINA WILLIAMS

Nina Williams is a character from the Tekken game series. She is a cold-blooded assassin who made her first appearance in the original Tekken and has appeared in every Tekken since. She is one of only four Tekken characters to appear in each game. She has a notable love/hate relationship with her younger sister, Anna Williams.Nina has a lethal fighting style, consisting of many throws, elaborate kick combos, grapples, holds, and chain-throws (something that only a select few Tekken series characters have). She is considered to be one of the higher tier characters, due to her speed and intricate grappling moves.In 2005, Nina Williams starred in her own spin-off, Death by Degrees.

HISTORY

Taking a break from working as an assassin, Nina decided that it was time she rediscovered her lost memories. She came to the conclusion that the only person who could help her was Anna. Anna (who was absent in Tekken 4) and Nina met up. However, at first sight, Nina's hatred instinctively returned, and they engaged in a gun battle, as shown in the Tekken 5 opening. The gun battle went on for days and the area ended up like a warzone with no side giving in. Finally, they decided to meet at the next tournament and finish their battle once and for all

APPEARANCE

Nina is notable for her long blonde hair and crystal-blue eyes. Her look contrasts from that of her sister, Anna, who is a brunette.Nina has become a video game sex symbol of sorts, following in the footsteps of Lara Croft of Tomb Raider fame, although much more of an ice queen. In earlier Tekken games, Nina dressed in more provocative clothing, and, like Anna, painted her nails red and wore more makeup. However, in recent incarnations (arguably Tekken 3 onwards), Nina's appearance has been toned down. Most of her body is covered by wearing jumpsuits or army fatigues that better suit her career as an assassin.Nina's signature color is purple. Nina usually has been featured in a variation of a purple outfit. Most of her outfits in the past have consisted of tight spandex.In Tekken Tag Tournament, Nina's costumes are the same as the ones in Tekken 3, although two costumes show Nina having dyed silver hair, as well as the clothes being in different colors.

ENDING

Nina and Anna are hired to take part in a big Hollywood movie. They fight on a rooftop; Anna hits the final blow. Nina falls to the ground as the director yells "Cut!". Everyone surrounds Anna, congratulating her. She clearly enjoys the attention. Nina storms out and presses a button in her hand. The castle set behind her explodes as she smiles.

TRIVIA

Nina has had a few voice actresses in the series most noticeably Lisle Wilkerson. In Death by Degrees, she is voiced by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. However, her voice work is uncredited.Nina and her sister, Anna, are the only two female characters to appear in both Tekken 2 and subsequent games. All other Tekken 2 female fighters were either removed (Kunimitsu and Angel) or replaced by other female characters.
